A linocut inspired, original digital illustration for Folktale Week 2021. Moonrakers is inspired by the Slaithwaite Moonraking festival, and the following story.
 
In days gone by smugglers would transport barrels up and down the canals. They would hide the barrels beneath the bridges. One moonlit night, as the smugglers were retrieving their bounty, they were spotted by the local militia. By way of escape they convinced the militia they were simply trying to catch the moon.
